UVUNTU Health

Acceptable Use Policy

What you can and can't do when using the UVUNTU booking platform.

Version: 1.0 Effective: 23 April 2026 Applies to: All users

In plain English

UVUNTU is a booking platform for healthcare in Zimbabwe. This Policy describes what we expect from everyone who uses it — Bookers, Patients, Providers, and organisations.

The short version: use UVUNTU to find and deliver healthcare appointments. Don't use it for anything else. Be respectful. Don't try to defraud, attack, or misuse the Platform or anyone on it.

Breaching this Policy can result in your account being suspended or terminated. Serious breaches may be reported to law enforcement or regulators.

1. Who this applies to

This Policy applies to every person and entity that uses the UVUNTU Health booking Platform: Bookers, Patients, Providers, Organisations, their staff, and visitors to our website. It is incorporated by reference into the Booker Terms of Service, the Master Organisation Agreement, and the Provider Terms.

2. The core rule

Use the Platform only for its intended purpose: finding, booking, delivering, and managing healthcare appointments. Anything else is out of scope and likely out of bounds.

3. What you must not do

3.1 Fraud and dishonesty

3.2 Illegal activity

3.3 Platform abuse

3.4 Misuse of money flow

3.5 Harmful conduct to others

3.6 Data and privacy

3.7 Content and intellectual property

3.8 Clinical conduct (for Providers)

4. Safety

The Platform is not for emergencies If you or someone you're booking for is in a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately. Do not wait for a booking. UVUNTU is a booking platform, not a triage or emergency service.

If you become aware of a safety concern involving another user of the Platform — a Provider acting unprofessionally toward a Patient, a Booker behaving threateningly toward a Provider, a child at risk — let us know as soon as possible at [email protected]. For imminent harm, contact your local emergency services first.

5. What happens if you breach this Policy

5.1 Warnings and suspension

5.2 Reporting to third parties

5.3 Civil and criminal liability

A breach of this Policy may also result in civil claims by UVUNTU or by affected third parties, and may expose you to criminal liability under Zimbabwean or Australian law. The consequences under this Policy (suspension, termination) do not limit other remedies.

6. Reporting a breach

If you believe someone is breaching this Policy, please let us know at [email protected]. Include as much detail as you can (what happened, when, who was involved, any screenshots or evidence). We'll look into every report in good faith, and we'll acknowledge your report within 2 Business Days.

Reports made in good faith are protected — we do not retaliate against people who report suspected breaches. Reports made maliciously or in bad faith are themselves a breach of this Policy.

7. Changes to this Policy

We may change this Policy from time to time. Material changes are communicated by email and by notice on the Platform at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the notice period is acceptance.
