In plain English
These Terms cover your use of the UVUNTU Health website at uvuntu.com and related pages. If you create an account and make a booking, the Booker Terms of Service apply to that booking — these Website Terms just cover general browsing.
The short version: browse freely, but don't try to attack, scrape, or misuse the site. Nothing on the site is medical advice. We make no warranty that the information is always current or accurate.
1. Who we are
1.1UVUNTU Health Pty Ltd (ACN [ACN], ABN [ABN]) operates the website at uvuntu.com and related domains and subdomains (the Website). In these Terms, "UVUNTU", "we", "us", and "our" mean UVUNTU Health Pty Ltd.
1.2These Terms apply when you visit the Website. If you register an account and make a Booking, the Booker Terms of Service apply to that Booking in addition to these Terms. If there is any inconsistency, the Booker Terms of Service prevail for matters they cover.
2. How you accept these Terms
You accept these Terms by using the Website. If you do not accept them, do not use the Website.
3. What the Website does and doesn't do
3.1The Website is an information and booking interface. The Website describes the UVUNTU booking platform and lets Bookers find and book appointments with healthcare providers in Zimbabwe.
3.2The Website is not medical advice. Nothing on the Website is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendation. Information displayed about providers, services, or conditions is descriptive, not prescriptive. If you have a medical question, speak to a registered healthcare provider.
Not an emergency service
If you or someone else is in a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately. Do not wait for a booking or rely on Website information.
3.3Availability. We make reasonable efforts to keep the Website available and up to date, but we don't guarantee continuous availability. We may take the Website down for maintenance, security, or other operational reasons without notice.
4. Prohibited uses
You must not:
- Use the Website for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of any law that applies to you.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, accounts, or underlying systems.
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the Website without our written permission. Search-engine indexing is permitted.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Website.
- Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Website.
- Introduce malicious code, viruses, or harmful data.
- Impersonate UVUNTU, a provider, or any other person or entity.
- Use the Website to harass, threaten, or harm other users or UVUNTU staff.
- Use the Website to transmit unsolicited commercial communications.
- Collect, harvest, or store information about other users without their consent.
- Use the Website in a way that breaches our Acceptable Use Policy.
5. Content on the Website
5.1Our content. The Website's design, layout, text, graphics, images, logos, and underlying software are owned by UVUNTU or licensed to us. You may view and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use. All other rights are reserved.
5.2Trade marks. "UVUNTU", "UVUNTU Health", our logo, and related marks are owned by UVUNTU. You may not use them without our written permission, except to identify UVUNTU accurately in a way that doesn't imply endorsement.
5.3Third-party content. The Website displays content provided by healthcare providers and organisations (for example, provider bios and service listings). That content is the provider's or organisation's responsibility. UVUNTU does not verify or endorse the accuracy of third-party content beyond what is described in our Transparency Statement.
5.4User-submitted content. If you submit content to the Website (for example, through a contact form), you grant UVUNTU a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content for the purpose of responding to your submission and operating the Website. You keep ownership of your content.
5.5Accuracy. We make reasonable efforts to ensure Website content is accurate and current. We do not warrant that it is free of errors or always up to date. Information about specific providers, availability, and prices may change; the authoritative information is what's displayed at booking time within the Platform.
6. Links to other sites
The Website may link to third-party sites for convenience. UVUNTU does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. Following a link is at your own risk.
7. Cookies
The Website uses cookies for essential functionality, preferences, and analytics. Our Privacy Policy at uvuntu.com/privacy explains what we use and how you can manage them.
8. Privacy
How we handle personal information — including information we collect through the Website — is explained in our Privacy Policy. By using the Website, you acknowledge you have read and understood it.
9. Limitation of liability
9.1The Website is provided "as is". We do not warrant that the Website will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, be error-free, or be secure. You use the Website at your own risk.
9.2Liability limits. To the maximum extent permitted by law, UVUNTU is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Website, except to the extent caused by our own fraud, wilful misconduct, or negligence resulting in personal injury.
9.3Consumer rights preserved. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, the Zimbabwe Consumer Protection Act, or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement. If a term here is inconsistent with such rights, the statutory right prevails.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. The courts of New South Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction to hear disputes arising from these Terms. Nothing in this clause limits your rights to bring a claim in a court of your home country if local law allows.
11. Changes
We may change these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on the Website. Continued use after posting is acceptance of the updated Terms.
